WHAT WE DO
Graduation Caps

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Supporting Latino students seeking to attend and complete certificate programs, associate, or bachelor’s degrees.

HIGH SCHOOL SERIES

Free, bilingual workshops are held at local community colleges and universities and are designed to help Latino families prepare for post-secondary education.

MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

LAWA is excited to provide a Mentorship Program to current LAWA Scholars. Our scholars will have the opportunity to have a mentor from the community to help guide them and develop professional skills that will better prepare them for their future.

Throughout our organization's materials the word "Latino(s)" will be used as the term to recognize and describe all of those who identify with Spanish heritage. All of those being a) Latino/a which refers to people who identify as descendants from Latin America and speak Spanish; b) Hispanic in which the word refers to people who speak Spanish and have descended from Spanish speaking populations; and c) Latinx which refers to people choosing to use term that is gender-neutral and an alternative to Latino, Latina, and Hispanic.
