LAWA & Randolph College Announce New Academic Partnership to help Latino youth in Charlotte, NC.
The nonprofit, LAWA (Latin Americans Working for Achievement), is pleased to announce its newest academic partnership with Randolph College to help Latino students from low-to
moderate-income families in the Charlotte, NC region gain access to high-quality post-secondary career opportunities.
Randolph College is the 7th higher education institution to match LAWA’s scholarship grants, doubling the awards. LAWA is dedicated to advancing the education and quality of life for the Latino community in the Charlotte region through scholarships and career-readiness programs.
“We are honored to continue expanding the possibilities for our Latino youth to find their path to a quality institution where they can obtain a degree or certification,” said Executive Director Ana Silva Rey.
Both organizations share a commitment to making quality higher education affordable to qualifying students regardless of their immigration status.
“At Randolph, we pride ourselves on providing a welcoming and inclusive learning, living, and working environment for our students,” said Travis Carter, Dean of Admission and Financial Aid. “Our innovative and personalized admissions process allows us to holistically evaluate applicants, taking their unique backgrounds and experiences into account.”
